We start the hike in the E part of Kamna Gorica village. There we find a trail, deterring northwards from the main road. It may ascend directly towards the north, but try to find the trail, which goes also on the "Zijavka" viewpoint, just above the village. Then continue by a good path towards the NE. It's not marked, only on some key points you may see helpful plates with inscriptions.
After reaching the main ridge, the path slightly descends, but then we reach the branching, where we turn left and then go northwards on the nice promontory, called Ojstra peč (Sharp Crag). Carefully there, where going to the point with the best view!
From Ojstra peč we return a few meters and then keep right, all the time following a good, broad path. Through a nice forest we go westwards, not enjoying much of distant views. Then the path turns left and reaches the path, coming directly from the village. There we turn right, following the path which otherwise goes towards the Radovljica town. After a short descent we reach an important crossroads, where many trails meet. There are plates and an explanation table.
On that crossroads we continue straight, in the W direction (inscriptions: Galerije, Pusti grad). The continuation is not well equipped with inscriptions. If following the broad trail, you will soon find yourself again above, on the main ridge. But it's good to stay right, below the ridge (on its N slopes). If coming on the ridge, try to find the first possible trail right down and you will soon be on the trail through the Galerije. That is a series of passages among big conglomerate boulders. The area is picturesque and the path is well maintained (small bridges, steps).
When through the galleries you simply continue and you will reach the main ridge again. Some 100 m further towards the W there's the highest farm, where you start the return. (The continuation westwards is also nice - it brings you to the famous Pusti grad castle ruins.)
Back to Kamna Gorica you return by roads, always keeping left. When coming down on the main road, don't follow it left, but go rather across it and by streets into the picturesque village. Old houses, many water channels and iron smelting history make Kamna Gorica very worth a stroll.
