The BOHINJ HIKING ADVENTURE is a 3 day hiking trip in the heart of the Triglav National Park, where we will guide you on the best hiking trails and take you to spectacular viewpoints. You will be hiking and sleeping in a mountain hut with no sound and light pollution. We will show you the life in the mountains and after an amazing day you will enjoy sitting by the fire in the evenings and admire a million stars in the night sky.
DAY 1
This is the starting day of your BOHINJ HIKING ADVENTURE in Bohinj valley. We will meet in Bohinj valley and after a welcome meeting we will hike up to Vogar mountain pasture. This is one of the few areas in Slovenia and the world without sound and light pollution. This mountain paradise will be our base from where we will do most of our activities. Once you will settle in, we will go for a nice walk on the meadow, where we will collect wild alpine herbs, learn about their use in cuisine and prepare delicious snack using what we will pick. After dinner we will relax by the fire, admire a million stars in the night sky and get ready for a well deserved sleep.
DAY 2
After breakfast we will go for a hike to an amazing peak called Prsivec that rises above the Bohinj lake. The view from the top is just amazing. After a break and a snack on the top we will hike through ancient forests and meadows and this it the right spot to experience the forest therapy that will help you connect with the nature even more. Once we return to our base you will have the chance to relax or try yourself in some of the skills that our ancestors needed to master in order to survive in the mountains. Tonight we will prepare the dinner together, so you will have the chance to add your personal touch to it. After dinner we plan an easy short walk to an amazing viewpoint where you will admire the view and taste some of the famous Slovenian schnapps.
DAY 3
The last day will be a beautiful one as well. After breakfast we will pack our bags and hike down to the Bohinj valley through a beautiful Mostnica river canyon. This is where we will experience the force of water and interesting shapes that nature has created through thousands of years. We will hike all the way to the Bohinj lake where we can reward ourselves with a swim in the crystal clear water. After a stop by the lake we will end our journey with a traditional Slovenian lunch in one of the local restaurants. The Bohinj hiking adventure has ended, but we hope that the memories remain with you forever.
