Juliana Trail: Through the Landscape of Lakes and Tradition
The programme Juliana Trail: Through the Landscape of Lakes and Tradition combines the pleasant hustle of tourist lake towns with the tranquillity of the yet undiscovered corners of the Julian Alps. Along the trail of lakes and tradition, you will discover the legacies of ironworks, apiculture and Slovenian national music, while meeting the locals who have always lived close with nature and who keep alive of the rich cultural heritage.
The programme is designed in such a way that you can walk the trail on your own, without a guide. The trail is very well marked, with the Juliana Trail signs on the ground and the surrounding walls and with small sign boards. Recommended are good hiking shoes and clothes, hiking poles, drinks and food in a backpack.
