River Unica
Unica is a Slovenian river, which is formed by the confluence of the rivers Pivka and Raka in the "Planinska jama" cave.
The merger of the two rivers represents the largest confluence of underground rivers in Europe. The surface stream of Unica is about 10 km long and it flows from south to north through Planinsko Polje.
A world-class Karst fly fishing area. Enjoy fishing for brown trout and grayling.
The great diversity of aquatic insects, daylings, juveniles and pebbles, many of which choose their habitat among micro micro-locations, offers fly fisher opportunities throughout the day and with different flies. With a persistent picking of the smallest dry flies, it is possible to lure the grayling at Unica river even in the middle of the summer heat. He will go for a fine charmer or gray pilgrim bait-fly.
