Just before the confluence with the Vrsnica, the Soča has carved out a 100 m gorge up to 6 m in depth that is just 1 m wide at the narrowest spot. The Mala korita on the Soča (the Small Soča Gorge) is an important natural treasure of the Triglav National Park.

Sporting activities are prohibited on this part of the river.
