The tourist information center is located right next to Lake Bohinj and is open year-round. In addition to providing information, the center also offers the purchase of souvenirs and local products.

The main activities of the Ribcev Laz Tourist Information Center are the provision of tourist information, services and accommodation, the sale of souvenirs, guides, maps, domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines, the sale of postcards and Bohinjsko branded products, and advice on possible trips and activities in Bohinj. In the center you can also buy fishing permits and a Bohinj Mobility Card, and any of the Bohinj Packages or rent a bike. The center also has an Internet corner with free internet on two computers and free Wi-Fi.

Public transport

You can reach Bohinj by bus or train. From the direction of Primorska region it is also possible to reach it by car-train. More information is available on the website.

Ribčev Laz is connected with Bohinjska Bistrica, Bled and Ljubljana through regular bus lines throughout the year, and with Savica Waterfall and Rudno Polje in summer (free Hop On Hop Off Pokljuka bus).

By road

You can reach Ribčev Laz by car from Bled through Soteska or across Pokljuka and Jelovica and Soriška planina. Access from the Primorska side is also possible by car-train.

Parking

In the immediate vicinity of Ribčev Laz Tourist Information Center is a payable parking lot.

The closest (unlimited time) parking is Ribcev Laz 2 - behind the Jezero Hotel (coordinates: 46.276426, 13.886311).

During the summer, free bus transport from the free parking lot Bohinjska Bistrica P13 - Danica is organized on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (coordinates: 46.273645, 13.948889)

During the summer months, a free shuttle bus is organized daily from the affordable (5 € / day) parking lot at the beginning of Ribčev Laz, opposite of the Crystal Hotel (coordinates: 46.273537, 13.894551).

Dear Priscilla, there is still a lot of snow in the mountains, also in the Valley of Seven Lakes, so we do recommend you to wail until June for hiking. In this time of a year you need winter equipment and usually people do the ski touring, which is demanding, especially if you do not know the area. Best wishes!
