Bathing in emerald Soča river

The emerald and the Soča river share the same colour which is the symbol of regeneration and awakening of life. The precious stone and the river share the harmony of the blue-green light, colourful serenity and refreshment. The Soča river will enthuse every seeker of active experiences and also charm the traveller who enjoys the immense beauty of nature, peace and casual relaxation.

Bathing in the Soča river is available in three locations:

• the Soča river near the bridge in Čezsoča,
• the Soča river near the bridge in Tolmin,
• the Soča river near the confluence with the Tolminka river.

The water temperature in the summer ranges from 11°C at the bridge in Čezsoča to 15°C in Tolmin. The bathing area at the confluence of the Soča river with the Tolminka river is a renowned concert and festival area, where events such as Metal Camp, Soča Riversplash and the Sajeta creative festival take place in the summer.              

ATTENTION: Soča is a fast and in some places a rushing cold river, so bathing in Soča requires a high degree of caution and is not suitable for everyone.
