ZLATOROG FAIRY TRAIL

You can walk an hour or the whole day along the approximately 2 kilometres long circular trail. The perfect guide is the booklet containing fairy tales from Bohinj, a map and slots for stamps that you can collect along the trail. Stamps can be found along the boards describing the fairy characters, and you earn them only if you do the tasks written on the boards. All fairytales, collected in the booklet, originate from Bohinj and have been arranged according to original stories. The booklet is for sale in all info centres in Bohinj and tourist facilities in Ukanc.
Two Zlatorog rules must be considered by all children, including pre-school children along the trail as well as elsewhere:

Public transport
You can travel by train or bus to Bohinj. From the Primorska side, you can also come by car train. More information is available on the website ://www.bohinj.si/informacije/lokacija
Regular buses drive from Ukanc to Bohinjska Bistrica, Bled and Ljubljana, in summer also to the Upper Bohinj Valley and the Savica Waterfall.
Getting there
Drive by car to Ukanc from Bled, through Soteska or over Pokljuka. You can also access the village across Jelovica and Soriška planina.Parking
