Cross-border tour through the Allgäu Alps, Bregenzerwald Mountains, Lechquell Mountains and the Lechtal Alps with a highlight on the Hochtannberg Pass.

This tour through the Allgäu has everything a cyclist's heart desires. Short, steep ramps, steady climbs and flat passages along the rivers. All this in a varied landscape with green mountain meadows, hilly foothills of the Alps and high mountains.

The tour leads from Bregenz up into the Appenzell region, with fantastic views of the Rhine valley and Lake Constance to Sankt Gallen. You will be rewarded for the ascent of approx. 500 metres of altitude with a great descent to Sankt Gallen and the lakeside. Return to Bregenz along the shore of Lake Constance.

On this road bike tour you can experience the Allgäu and Vorarlberg at their best. A special feature of the tour is that the route leads over the Riedbergpass (1407 m), Germany's highest pass road.

Round trip from Sonhofen through the beautiful Rohrmoostal valley to Hittisau (Vorarlberg), then on to Oberstaufen and back via the Alpsee lake.
