Flachau is part of Snow Space Salzburg, the diverse ski area in the heart of Ski amadé. Families and connoisseurs, sporty skiers and snowboarders will find a wide selection of blue and red as well as some black ski runs and many different ski area highlights.
New since winter 2020/21: The connection with the neighbouring ski areas Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl and Skiparadies Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl makes skiing possible over 12 peaks and 5 slopes on 210 perfectly prepared kilometres of pistes.

Ski/Snowboard
Families and beginners, pleasure skiers and sporty skiers alike are in good hands in Flachau. The ski resort is part of Snow Space Salzburg, the skiing area in the province of Salzburg with 120 interconnected kilometres of pistes from Flachau via Wagrain to Alpendorf with 100% snow guaranteed. It is obvious that this ski area offers an enormous variety: from the World Cup course and the timed course to the family downhill runs and the Kidsrun, the fun slope for small children, the selection is large. From the winter of 2020/21, this offer will be expanded even further: the ski area connection with the new Panorama Link gondola lift makes skiing possible from A – Z, from Alpendorf to Zauchensee. The cable car connects the Grießenkar in Flachau with the shuttle mountain Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl and subsequently with the ski paradise Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl. 210 kilometres of pistes in the heart of Ski amadé are thus accessible, and all this with only 1 ski ticket.
Nordic/Winter hiking
From Flachau cross-country skiers have access to the extensive cross-country skiing network of the Salzburger Sportwelt, 260 km in length. The trails lead across scenic plateaus and are mostly groomed for classic skiing and skating. In addition, four different toboggan runs in Flachau take you down into the valley at full speed, the majority of which are illuminated until late in the evening. So the sledging fun can continue even after the slopes have closed. The snow-covered landscape around Flachau can also be discovered off the slopes on 40 km of winter hiking trails, on a snowshoe tour or a horse-drawn sleigh ride.skiroutes
In Snow Space Salzburg, freeriders will find a total of 5 km of ski routes that invite them to enjoy the deep snow away from the prepared slopes. One, for example, leads from the Gernkogel down to the entrance of the Strassalm cable car. And thanks to the new ski area connection to the Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl shuttle mountain around the „freeride paradise“ Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl, there are many more freeride runs to explore.Public transport
