South-west edge (Aggenstein)
The south-west edge on the Aggenstein has 5 pitches over 215 climbing meters up to the upper 3rd grade (mostly II and III) and is the ultimate pleasure climbing. Since the climbing areas are mostly inclined on the edge and there are hardly any steeper passages, the southwest edge is a popular destination for climbing beginners. However, since the protection is rather mediocre (pitches with ring hooks, a maximum of 3 bolts per pitch), you should not be fooled by the easy level of difficulty. This must be mastered safely and a fall or slip should not happen. Due to the moderate climbing difficulties, the additional attachment of mobile securing devices such as nuts can be practiced. At the summit you will be rewarded with a unique view of the Füssen lake landscape.
