The trail descends from the town of Kobarid to the Napoleon's bridge which connects both banks of the Soča River and provides splendid views of the Soča River and its gorges. After you cross the bridge, continue towards the village of Ladra. After a few kilometres, turn in the village of Ladra towards the village of Smast and continue along the paved road which ascends through the village of Vrsno which is the birthplace of the poet Simon Gregorčič.
