At the village of Podbela you follow the sign directing you towards the village of Robidišče. This village, where only eight people live today, boasts beautiful Venetian architecture and the distinctive black kitchen. At the sightseeing point you can enjoy in views of Mt. Stol and Cime del Monte Musi.
From the village of Robidišče you descend along the same road you came from to the sharp bend with the turn for the village of Logje. The road descends deep to the riverbed of the Nadiža River and later ascends to the village of Logje and further to the village of Breginj.
In the village of Breginj you can visit the old village centre which was preserved after the earthquake in 1976 and which was declared a cultural monument. You continue along the descent to the valley of the Nadiža River or to the starting point of the tour in the town of Kobarid.
There are plenty of opportunities to replenish your water supply along the trail.
Safety informationCaution is advised because more than a half of the route runs along the regional road which is quite busy between the village of Staro selo and the town of Kobarid.
Tips, hints and linksDuring the summer months, you can use the Hop On Hop Off shuttle bus which can take up to five bicycles. If you use it, you will save six kilometres of cycling.
This bus also runs to the villages of Robidišče and Breginj.
From the village of Robidišče you can descend to the Italian side of the hill to the village of Montefosca or all the way to the valley. You continue along the regional road to the village of Robič or the town of Kobarid.
From the village of Breginj you can descend to the Ponte Vittorio Bridge across the Nadiža River which means that you will have to make another ascend later.
