This is the easiest and shortest access for cyclists to the Juliana Bike Trail. The route is attractive from the start, as you ride along the northern shore of Lake Bled towards Rečica. After a moderate climb through the village of Poljšica, you will reach the hillsides of meadows, fields and pastures above Gorje. From here you can already see the Radovna valley, which is where you will arrive on the Julian Bike Trail. You can continue to the local inn Pr Psnak in Radovna, visit the hummocky glacial meadows in Krma, where you can have a snack at the Kovinarska hut, or continue cycling to Mojstrana and onwards to Kranjska Gora.

Turn-by-turn directions

From Bled, follow the northern shore of the lake to Rečica, from where you continue to the village of Poljšica. Above Poljšica, the road leads under the Poglej Church, a natural geological and historical landmark. Continue to Krnica nad Gorjami, where you turn left on the main road. After a few metres, follow the sign for Radovna. Turn right down the road and go through the village downhill to the right towards the bridge. When you cross the bridge over the Radovna stream, turn left towards the valley. Follow the road to a turnoff with a wide forest gravel road, which joins the main road on the left, the one you came on. You will reach the Juliana Bike Trail.
