Make a circle in Breginjski kot and climb to the westernmost village of Slovenia.
Distance 24.7 km
On the way, you shall visit the warmest alpine Nadiža River. Breginjski kot is quite a popular place among tourists in summer, otherwise, a cycling paradise awaits you there. You will access it from Kobarid or via a loop, part of which is also our route from Stol to Kobarid. You will access the loop in Borjana village, where there are still visible signs of the 1976 earthquake. Do not forget to visit the old village centre with the museum in Breginj. In Robidišče, the westernmost village in Slovenia, the most adventurous cyclists can also try out the new bike park. When returning, you will descend back to the Nadiža River and bathe in crystal clear water at Napoleon’s Bridge and access the route in the nearby Podbela (with two campsites), which runs from Stol to Kobarid.
Update: July 11, 2022
