Author’s recommendation
The trail is marked with blue signposts and markers indicating a mountain biking loop. We recommend using the Triglav Map, issued by Planinska Zveza Slovenije (Alpine Association of Slovenia).
Pokljuka is full of forest paths; therefore, it is recommended to carefully follow the Slovenian Mountain Biking Trail signs.
Warning: On the Planina Klek–Stresena dolina–Radovna section, cycling is prohibited from 1 March to 1 July. Cycling in this period can negatively impact the reproductive cycle of the western capercaillie and black grouse. Please consider this restriction.

Turn-by-turn directions
From Goreljek, continue to the regional road from Bled to Rudno polje. Turn left and continue for about two hundred metres, then turn right (signpost!) onto the forest road leading to the Javornik Pasture. Try cottage cheese and cheese on the pasture and enjoy the views of Mt Triglav. Continue through the vast spruce forests whose tree tops resemble Gothic cathedrals. From the northern edge of the Pokljuka descend to the valley of the Radovna River through Stresena dolina. Here the world opens up and you are first welcomed by the Psnak old mill and Pocar Homestead, one of the oldest preserved rural homesteads in Triglav National Park. With its image, a rich collection of exhibits and the story of the Pocar family, visitors get a picture of life in the places below Mt Triglav in the past. Continue slightly upwards towards the south to the Krma Valley and Kovinarska koča mountain hut.
From Krma, return along the same trail and then turn left over the Kosmačev preval pass towards Mojstrana that is located at the entrance to the Vrata Valley. Along the Triglavska Bistrica brook ascend below the Peričnik Waterfall and across the steep Kreda to the Aljažev dom mountain hut in Vrata below the mighty Triglav North Face. On your return, visit the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana. Continue along the cycling route to Kranjska Gora, ride below the mighty mountains of the Martuljek mountain range.
