Ride from Kobarid along the main road towards Tolmin, through Mlinsko village and continue to Idrsko. In the middle of Idrsko, the signpost for Livek directs you to the right. Turn from the village and start climbing a steep hill, which ends 5 km higher in the Golobi settlement. Take a breath to the nearby Livek, where you shall start a 4-km climb to Kolovrat. Turn left in the middle of Livek and follow the sign for Kolovrat. Ride along the winding road through the Livške Ravne village, where the slope flattens. The panoramic ridge, which is 4 km long, descends towards Solarje, the former border crossing with Italy, at the Za Gradom outdoor museum. After 1 km descend, access the Goriška Brda I1 route and continue your tour to Tolmin.
