Turn-by-turn directions
The tour starts in front of the Triglavska roža Bled Info Centre and continues along the road on the right side of Mercator shop. At the end of the street, turn left and cross Seliška cesta, where you reach the cycling route. Turn right and ride along the cycling route to Rečica.
Continue along the main road towards the Pokljuka Plateau through Spodnje and Zgornje Gorje. Follow the signs for Pokljuka to reach Zgornje Gorje. In Krnica, turn right from the main road and slightly descend (direction: Radovna and Mojstrana) where you cross the wooden bridge over the Radovna River. Turn left and continue cycling along the asphalt road through the valley. In the crossroad for Mojstrana and Zgornja Radovna, continue straight on towards Krma and you will soon reach the unpaved road. Continue along the unpaved road to Krma, where you reach Kovinarska koča alpine hut after a few kilometres.
Return to the crossroad for Mojstrana on the same road and turn left in the crossroad, where you drive to Zgornja Radovna. Psnak Inn is on the right side of the road, continue along the main road and start ascending to Mojstrana. This is a short but very steep ascent (18%) followed by a long and wonderful descend to Mojstrana. Turn right when you come to the village (the street is marked "Pot v Radovno") and the main road that takes you past a small ski centre (on the right) and the Church of St Klemen (on the left).
Continue cycling to the Sava Dolinka River and turn right on the cycling route before the bridge. The cycling route is marked D-2. Continue along the cycling route, where you have to overcome some short, but steep climbs (10–17%). Follow the signs for Jesenice. When the cycling route ends, drive to Jesenice and through the part known as Podmežakla, cycle straight on or follow red cycling signs that direct you to Bled.
When reaching the bridge over the Sava Dolinka River (on the left), continue straight on and slightly ascend (be cautious because this is a section with most traffic). Follow the signs for Pokljuka and Spodnje Gorje until you reach the crossroad for Bled, ride straight on. You soon start to ascend (the climb is initially gently sloping and steep at the end), a beautiful view of Jesenice opens up on the right side.
When you reach the top, you come to Kočna and continue straight on along the main road. After a few kilometres, you come to Spodnje Gorje, where you cross the Radovna River. After a short ascent you come to a turning for Vintgar Gorge (visit is highly recommended). Turn left in the crossroad and descend through the village. Keep on the left side and follow the signs for Bled. When you reach the crossroad for Pokljuka and Zgornje Gorje, turn right and follow the same route where you started your cycling tour, return to the starting point in front of the Triglavska roža Info Centre in Bled.
