Turn-by-turn directions

Start at TIC Žirovnica – Matija Čop’s birth house and continue towards the main road from Žirovnica to Begunje na Gorenjskem. Ride past Selo pri Žirovnici and turn left in Breznica at Vulkanizerstvo Vulco to the side road in the village that takes you to the centre of the village.

After 300 metres turn right and continue the tour by staying left. After a short ascent you reach a children’s playground in the village, bypass it on the right and continue through the village. After a short descent, turn sharp right and after 100 metres reach Janša’s Beehive, where you just have to make a stop and visit one of the most important cultural heritage attractions in this region.

Then you can continue to the main road, turn right and cross the road to the left and go on towards Vrba. Make another stop in Vrba – at France Prešeren’s birth house.

When you finish your visit, continue with your tour. Descend along the road outside the village and turn left just below the main road to the left on the cart road that will take you along the main road and motorway to the beautiful village of Studenčica. After entering the village, turn right and after a short ascent reach the road between Studenčica and Hraše. After a little less than a kilometre, you will reach Hraše. When you descend and ride through the underpass below the motorway, you will reach the crossroad, choose the second exit and continue towards the centre of Lesce. Turn right on the main road to cross the railway crossing and ride to the road light, where you can cross the main road and turn to reach the Lesce – Bled Cycling Route.

The route takes you past Šobec Campsite, River Camping Bled and Sava Dolnka bridge to the last short asent to Bled and Triglavska roža or TIC Bled, where your tour ends.
