Tips and hints
We recommend you to take this trail in morning hours also because the parking lot next to Hotel Boka quickly fills up. The trail crosses the main road a couple of times. During the summer months this road is very busy, which is why caution is advised. You can refresh yourself with food and drinks at Hotel Boka and at the Pri mostu Inn in the village of Žaga.
The trail starts at the parking lot next to Hotel Boka and continues towards the Boka Waterfall. After approximately 150 metres of walking, at the bridge across the Boka Stream, you cross the main road for the first time. From here, the trail gradually ascends to the wooden sightseeing point with the finest view of the waterfall. From this point, the trail ascends for a short while and then gradually descends to the village of Žaga. You arrive to the village at the bridge across the Učja River where you can refresh yourself at the Pri mostu Inn. Cross the bridge across the Učja River (caution is advised because of the main road) and immediately descend down the small slope to the left. You will soon arrive to the willow tree forest which you will hike through almost all the way to the village of Srpenica. In front of the village of Srpenica you have to cross the Sušec Stream. By leaving the main road for a short while (approximately 300 m to the right) you can visit the Sušec canyoning entry-exit point. The trail leads past the village of Srpenica, however, you can reach the centre of the village and the village church in just a few steps. The gravel trail across the Srpenica field takes you back to the Soča River which you reach at the Lipuc Bridge (61 m) – the longest suspended bridge across the Soča River. After you cross the river, turn to the left and continue along the gravel road (a part of the Alpe Adria Trail) along a practically level section to the village of Log Čezsoški. The trail is constantly routed just above the Soča River and provides plenty of opportunities to freshen up. After approximately 500 metres behind the small village of Log Čezsoški you can see the starting point again – parking lot next to Hotel Boka.
