Dobra gora is a fairly easily accessible hill south of Bled offering amazing vistas. And what’s more, it’s not crowded at all. From the East it stretches along the Sava Valley via Jelovica and Babji zob, and Galetovec above Bohinjska Bela. The village of Selo, Sava Bohinjka and the plateau of Pokljuka are literally on your doorstep.

Dobra gora (620m) is one of several Bled monadnock hills rising steeply above the village of Selo pri Bledu. The locals also call it Špik. Except for the top and the cliff overlooking Selo, Dobra gora has wooded areas of several types. Its undergrowth has several different types of flowering plants, and the Dobra gora forest provides shelter for some game animals, such as deer, mouflon, hare and fox. Dobra gora offers amazing views and is a popular choice for hikers both from nearby and abroad. At the top you will find a rest spot with a bench, info board and a visitors’ book. The paths leading to Dobra gora are well marked with the usual Bled signposts for hiking trails.

Safety information

  • Be careful on the steeper slopes with wooden steps. At the summit, there is enough space, but do not forget you are on a cliff, so do not approach the edge!
  • In winter and when the path has icy stretches, the hike to Dobra gora is advised against.
  • You are advised to bring enough water with you, as there is no hut along the way.
  • The path is properly marked.
