From Stara Fužina to Kosijev hut on Vogar (1.054 m)
A short and steep tour that takes you to one of the most beautiful views of Lake Bohinj and its surroundings.
moderate
Distance 3.1 km
Vogar is the easternmost peak of the ridge above the northern shore of Lake Bohinj. It has become a popular excursion point precisely because of the beautiful views and the mountain lodge. It is also the starting point for paragliders.
Author’s recommendation
When you reach Kosijev dom on Vogar, turn left at the hut, where after 300 meters you will find a beautiful vantage point from which we have a view of the western part of Lake Bohinj (Ukanc).

Safety information
The path is steep and in some places "paved" with slippery stones, so be careful especially in bad weather.Tips and hints
Vogar is also a take-off point for paragliders, with a little luck you will be able to catch one at the take-off, which can be interesting especially for small children.Start

Kosijev hut on Vogar
Turn-by-turn directions
You start the path in the parking lot of Vorančkovec (Stara Fužina), from there we continue on foot, past the ramp along the main road that leads to the mountain pasture Blato. After 400 meters of walking along the main road, we find a sign on the left side of the road indicating the path to Vogar (turn left). The path lead us away from the main road to a hiking trail that takes us through a meadow all the way to the edge of the forest. From there, the path begins to climb steeply and meander through a beech forest. After about 50 minutes of walking, the view of Lake Bohinj (a take-off point for paragliders) opens on the left. We return to the main path, and continue for another 15 minutes to our destination Kosi's hut on Vogar.
