Mt. Kozlov rob, a trip to the castle

You can access the trail to the castle in several ways. The most convenient start of the trail is located at the edge of the town at a marked parking lot next to the road towards the village of Dolje. This is also the only starting point with available parking places. Access to the trail to the castle for pedestrians is also available from the Gregorčičeva ulica Street. If you start your tour at the parking lot, follow the educational forest trail which is gradually ascending along the hairpins to the top of the hill. Occasionally you will come across information boards presenting the life and work in the forest through which you walk. Approximately at the half of the trail you arrive to the sightseeing point with views over the town. Continue through the forest to the top of Mt. Kozlov rob. Climb to the terrace on top of the mighty castle wall where you are rewarded by luxurious views over the Tolmin Basin, the surrounding summits and the town itself. 

You can descend along the same trail or along the Grajska pot trail (just beneath the top you turn to the right) routed along the northern side of the hill to the starting point.
