Old mining route
Route: Stara Sava – Murova – Pejce – Prihodi – Planina pod Golico – Sava caves
The Old Mining Trail was used to transport iron ore from the Sava caves, a former iron ore deposit, to the blast furnaces in Stara Sava. Ten information boards describing the life of the miners and ironworkers enrich your walk.

Pack a lunch and enough water, especially during the summer months.
You can visit the Old Mining Trail with or without a tour guide. It is also suitable for larger groups. If you book ahead of time, historical figures will greet you in the Sava caves – the ironworker Viktor, the miner Tona, and the mine manager Heinrich.
