The basic hike is a half-day round tour. In addition, you have two more options:
1. Prepare bikes on Srednji vrh (Jurež farm, the goal of the tour). Reaching there on foot, you can quickly return down in Kranjska Gora.
2. From Srednji vrh, don't go directly down in Kranjska Gora, but use the asphalted road instead. From the road, you can visit also the Jerman ferrata (extremely difficult), or at list one of the two Jerman waterfalls. Coming down by the road, you can then return from Martuljek either on foot or by bus.
As said, mind to prepare bikes at Jurež, or consider visiting a waterfall.
For the described hike, choose a clear day with nice view. Its greatest value is in wonderful panoramas!
Safety informationIn the forested section of slopes crossing, take care of orientation and yellow marks! It's easy, but don't leave the main (described) trail!
Tips and hints
1. If you decide to visit the waterfalls, have in mind that the ferrata is extremely difficult! By such routes, you never descend, so this addition would be another 200 m high climb! The lowest waterfall can be seen already from the asphalted road - from the bridge just above the Martuljek village.
2. If returning by bus, get prior to the tour the schedule - visit the tourist office in Kranjska Gora.
By own car, parking is free on the meadow.
By bus - easy short walk from Kranjska Gora bus station.
