Turn-by-turn directions
Start in the centre of the village and go left along the pavement; after approximately 50 metres cross the street onto a narrow asphalt road. After 200 metres you will reach a railway underpass. Keep right on the other side and after a short steep hill among the houses continue to the crossroads with the main road through the village. Leave the road at the top of the hill and continue on the right village path. Keep right at the wayside shrine dedicated to St Anthony of Padua. After 200 metres you will reach the stone road and leave the settlement; after a slight slope you will reach meadows and the part of the countryside called Ledne. At the crossroads keep on the left forest path that will bring you to the top of the hill. Leave the path there and climb on the left to the top of Široka peč. Below, you will see the youngest part of Podklanec village that was built after the construction of the railway station along the Bohinj route in 1906. Rest and return to the path, descending slowly on the left side. Keep right to reach the stone road Gorjuše–Bohinjska Bela. Turn left and descend to the main road through the village, past the Batišt Inn and to the last house in the village. Turn left to the field path that will bring you to the wayside shrine along the brinks of the meadow. Continue back along the already walked road to the village centre.
