Through the Vintgar Gorge to Bled
In the Triglav National Park we encounter the Vintgar Gorge, and then dive into the interesting hilly landscape and Bled - the Wocheiner Bahn takes us back.
On the way to the Vintgar Gorge we get into the right mood with a long forest hike. We then take in the scenic beauty of the Vintgar Gorge and linger towards the end of the gorge hike at the magnificent Vintgarski šum. Slightly uphill we reach Sv. Katarina and thus for the first time on this easy route tour with its 600 m, 16 km and approx. 4 hours walking time an open, well-maintained cultivated landscape. On winding, gently descending paths, always approaching the High Castle in Bled visible from afar, we finally reach the northern Slovenian climatic health resort of Bled/Veldes. In this town we enjoy the view of the glacial lake with the small island of Blejski Otok, the culinary offers, the parks and the promenade. At the end of the route, we can unleash our nostalgic feelings at the sight of the old Wocheiner Bahn nostalgic feelings - with it, we manage to catch a glimpse of the Vintgar gorge just before Vintgar.
Author’s recommendation
The three churches and the castle offers should not be passed by with distance, especially as there is still a fun train.

Safety information
Although safety in the Vintgar Gorge is basically ensured, care should be taken to wear suitable footwear.
.Throughout these 16 km, it is necessary to change several times between the main service roads (HWW) and asphalted öpublic roads - on the latter, we strictly adhere to the LEFT WALK (paired walking is possible).
Caution. On the promenade path always WALK RIGHT!
.Tips and hints
The restaurant near the swimming pool, i.e. below the castle (to the south), is highly recommended!
