During high season, start booking huts a month out to get your first choice
Before heading out on your trek, be sure to print or save PDFs of your email confirmations. Most of the huts don’t have WiFi, so plan ahead and have these reservations available if you need to prove it.

DAY1: ~15km 1500m Stara Fužina - Dom na Komni ~ 7-10 hours
On the first day we arrive to Stara Fužina. We pack our bags and get ready to hike next to the lake Bohinj to the Savica Waterfall. After the waterfall we climb the mountain to start out journey to our first hut Dom na Komni. We are passing by a lake, and on the trail we can see the magnificent Bohinj valley.
DAY2: ~16 km 900m Stara Fužina - Velki Bogatin(peak) -Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih ~ 6-8 hours
After we ate out breakfast at the lodge, we get ready to hike to our first peak called Velki Bogatin(2008m) which is just above 2000 meters. We carefully move along the ridge, passing on Mali Bogatin we descent to Bogatin saddle. We march through the forrest to our second hut Triglav Lakes Lodge.
DAY3: ~15 km ~1000m Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih - Kranjavec - Vodnikov dom na Velem polju
- 6-8 hours
On our third day we head to the heart of the Julian Alps. We ascend on a beautiful route where we pass by 7 lakes. Optionally we can get a drink from Kovinarska koča v Krmi hut. All around us are mountains stretching to the sky, leaving a beautiful scenery. Also we can ascend to Kanjavec(2569) peak which is the souther neighbour of Mt. Triglav. As we descend from though Velska Vaelly we approach our 3rd hut called Kovinarska koča v Krmi.
DAY4: ~11km ~800m Vodnikov dom na Velem polju - Pršivec - Parking ~5-6 hours
Our final day has arrived for our tour, so we head back to Lake Bohinj. We say good bye to the mountains as we face our backs. For the last of our trip we easily climb Ograd(2087m) peak to see the unqie sight of Bohinj Valley from far away. As we get near to the lake we climb to the lookout tower of the Lake called Pršivec(1761m). After we loiter on the jaw dropping view we head to car.
