At the Vigiljoch near Merano

First drive up the Ultentalstrasse. Shortly after the second left-hand bend, take the forest road that branches off to the right, then immediately turn left again after a hundred metres. Shortly before the valley station of the Pawigl cable car, the road turns steeply uphill to the right. After a farm, the road becomes steeper again, followed by a 25% steep concrete section. Then follow the road with a more bearable gradient until you reach Pawigl. Turn right here and head towards Vigiljoch. Behind the valley station of the chairlift (highest point of the tour) the Eggersteig begins. Follow this trail until you reach Almboden. At a crossroads continue straight down the valley. Follow the road for a few kilometres until the Jochweg branches off to the right. Follow this to Marling, where there are some technical passages to master. Finally, take the side roads to the starting point in Lana.
