The tour enables you to explore the beauties of Bled and its surroundings, the tour itself is quite beautiful and demanding. While cycling, you can admire the alpine landscape and breathe fresh air. The tour is suitable for mountain bikers and cyclists who have no problems with short but steep ascents. You will be awarded by visiting unspoiled nature and by the beautiful views of Lake Bled and the Karavanke mountain range, which is the natural border between Slovenia and Austria. And you will also be overwhelmed by the Sava Bohinjka River, meticulously managed fields and unspoiled nature.

Turn-by-turn directions

BLED - BOHINJSKA BELA - KUPLJENIK - SELO - BLED

The tour starts in front of the Triglavska roža Bled Info Centre and continues along the Ljubljanska cesta road, turn right. Take the first exit in the crossroad, then continue left to Črtomirova ulica and to Prešernova cesta. Cross the road and descend to the lake, turn right and cycle along lake shore to Velika Zaka (you will see the finish area of the paddling track and stands for spectators).

Cross Kolodvorska cesta and continue to unpaved road. You will see a car park on the left and cycle past Bled Campsite. The route starts ascending. Ride under the railway track and turn left uphill. Continue along the road until you reach the top. Descend towards Bohinjska Bela (keel left). When you reach the village, turn left to asphalt road and descend until you reach the cultural hall.

Cross the main road and continue descending on asphalt road to the Sava Bohinjka River and cross it. The road starts ascending, continue to the regional road to Bohinj. Cross the road and continue towards Kupljenik. You will start a long and steep ascent towards the village. When you come to Kupljenik, remain on the main road and follow the direction signs for Selo. The road starts descending past St Stephen's Church (on the right). Follow the signs for Selo and you will soon come to unpaved road. Be careful while descending (especially from the wayside shrine on your right).

When you stop descending, you will reach a bridge that crosses the Sava Bohinjka and takes you to Selo. Turn left and ascend to the centre of the village, turn right before the bus stop and start ascending. When you stop ascending, you can see the brinks of Bled, follow the road to Cankarjeva cesta, turn left and descend past Kompas hotel to Prešernova cesta. Turn right and continue in the semaphore crossroad to the roundabout and take the second exit. After a few hundred metres, you can see the starting point, i.e. Triglavska roža Bled Info Centre.
