The Latemar is a mountain range in the Dolomites of South Tyrol and Trentino. It lies between the municipalities of Obereggen and Karersee in Val d'Ega, Predazzo in Val di Fiemme and Moena in Val di Fassa. The characteristically shaped Latemar peaks are among the most famous views of the Dolomites, yet the area is still largely undeveloped. Only the western slopes are accessible for skiing in the winter months. In summer, the newly designed Latemarium Adventure Kingdom attracts a wide audience. On a total of seven different themed trails, children playfully discover the habitat of plants and animals in the high Alps, while art lovers are in the right place at one of the highest exhibitions in the world. The Latemarium is now open to the public. For those in search of the perfect view, a tour to the Latemar hut (Rifugio Torre di Pisa) at 2671 m is a must.
