Easy and panoramically rich hiking tour above the Baška grapa Valley.
easy
Distance 7.7 km
Mt. Porezen is one of the nicest sightseeing and easily accessible peaks of the Alpine foothills. As the central point it divides the Baška grapa Valley, Cerkno Region and the Selška Sora Valley. This access to Mt. Porezen is the fastest and the easiest. The central part of the trail is routed through pleasant forests, whilst the upper part is routed along a long sightseeing ridge all the way to the top of the mountain. Just beneath the summit, there is a mountain hut which offers accommodation during the summer months.
Author’s recommendation
During the summer months, this ascent to Mt. Porezen represents a very appropriate starting tour for families, whilst during the winter months it represents a great choice to gather first experiences with climbing to snowy peaks and always a great option for a quick morning or afternoon trip.
