The somewhat different descent from the Rappensee Hut
A challenging, trail-less descent for experienced mountaineers who find the normal route from the Rappenseehütte via the Eselsweg or Enzianhütte too leisurely or who want to take in two more peaks on the descent.
.This descent to the Fellhornbahn is quite something. Because before the descent begins, you first have an ascent of just under 450 m ahead of you. The ascent before the descent . First we walk from the Rappenseehütte (2,091 m) üvia the Große Steinscharte (2,262 m) up to the Rotgundspitze (2,485 m) and the Linkerskopf (2,459 m), before descending from there to the Enzianhütte. Leave the marked trail at the Groß Steinscharte. Only at the Enzianhütte (1,804 m) do we come across a marked hiking trail again, which takes us down into the valley and on to the Fellhorn cable car. Das. The Odd Couple The mountains Rotgundspitze and Linkerskopf form an unequal pair in the Allgäu Alps. The Rotgundspitze is a typical rocky limestone mountain consisting of main dolomite.
