This is a four day bikepacking trip which leads you through the Julian Alps. The route contains some steep climbs and technical trails. Nevertheless, it can be done self-supplied with light backpacking equipment and wild camping.
The second day further follows the Soca valley and climbs up onto the ridge of the mountain Stol.
This day starts with a scenic side trip to the Glava mountain. It is recommended to leave all bikepacking equipment at the camp site. First the paved road leads up the mountain until a hut is reached. On the way back, in a bend a technical trail starts (S2-S3) which almost ends a the camp site. After all the gear is loaded, thr route follows further the Soca valley. This is a pleasant ride with fantastic valley views.
At the village Zaga, the ascent to the Stol mountain starts. Shortly after the village is the last place to fill up water. First on a paved road, and later on a gravel road this is rideable until a broad plateau underneath the summit. Here are many options for wild camping with amazing views from Triglav to the Adriatic sea.
