The route connects Bled with the Juliana Bike trail, which runs on the edge of the Julian Alps and consists of seven stages.
Distance 15.8 km
This is the easiest and shortest access for cyclists to the Juliana Bike route. The path is attractive from the very beginning when riding on the northern shore of Lake Bled toward Rečica. After a moderate ascent through the village of Poljščica we arrive to the edges of meadows, fields and pastures above Gorje. From here, the valley of Radovne can already be seen, through which we will get to the Juliana Bike trail. Now we can choose to take a break at the Pr Psnak local inn in Radovna, discover the ridged glacial meadows in Krma, where we can have something to eat and drink at the Kovinarska koča mountain hut, or continue the cycling trip toward Mojstrana and further on toward Kranjska gora.
From Bled we will ride along the northern shore of the lake and arrive to Rečica, from where we will continue to the village of Poljščica. Above Poljščica the road will lead us under a natural geological and historical attraction, the Poglej Church. We will continue to Krnica above Gorje, where on the main road we will turn left. After a few minutes we will follow the signpost for Radovna. We will turn off the road to the right, through the village and down the slope to the right again toward the bridge. After crossing the bridge over the Radovno creek we will turn left in the direction of the valley. Following the road we will take a turn into a wide forest dirt road which connects on the left side to the main road from which we came. We will then arrive to the Juliana Bike trail.
