Bike tour in Lepena valley

We start the tour at the beginning of the Lepena valley, where the Great Soča Gorge ends. Here's also the entry point for kayakers.
The tour take place on a small, asphalted road that leads us to the end of Lepena valley. We first cycle next to the Soča river, then we follow the Lepenjica creek.
After 3km we will drive pass a small parking place which is the starting point for the Šunik water grove hiking trail.
At the end of the road we will reach the Dr. Klement Jug hut, where we can refresh and rest. This is also the starting point for the mountain path to the Krn lakes and mt. Krn.

The starting point of this tour can be combined with sightseeing at the Great Soča Gorge, on the way we can hike the Šunik water grove, while the end of the tour offers yet another (hiking) experience: climbing up to the Krn Lakes or to the top of mt. Krn.

We start the tour at the parking place at the beginning of Lepena valley - at the entry point for kayakers. We follow the asphalted road by the Soča river, that takes us first to the Kamp Klin camping place. The road then turns left into the valley following the Lepenjica creek. The road goes quite steep up till the Dr. Klement Jug hut.
Public transport
In summer time there's a bus that stops at the junktion for Lepena valley. The bus rides from Bovec or from Kranjska Gora (over Vršič pass).By road
We look for the road sign for "Lepena".It's 10 km from Bovec or 11 km from Trenta.
