Turn-by-turn directions
This tour starts in the Zadnjica Valley. When you arrive to the end of the valley, you will be able to notice the Zadnjiški dol slope to the right along which you will ascend to the Čez dol Mountain pass. Descend from the mountain pass for approx. 100 – 200 m towards the Trebiški dol Mountain pass where you will notice a steep passage to the left which you will have to overcome on foot. If the slope is covered with ice, you have to use crampons and the ice axe. Above the passage, you will be able to notice the Malo Špičje Ridge and a small mountain pass to the left onto which you will have to ascend along steep slopes. Descend from this small mountain pass into the Triglav Lakes Valley and continue between Mt. Poprovec and the Vršaki Mountain chain to the Hribarice Mountain pass. Before you reach the Hribarice Mountain pass, turn to the left and ascend along the valley between Mt. Poprovec and Mt. Kanjavec and then gradually ascend along the steep slopes to the western top of Mt. Kanjavec. You should descend along the same way you came from. We recommend you to use ski touring skins along the short ascent from the Triglav Lakes Valley to the small mountain pass beneath the Malo Špičje Ridge.
