Mt. Krasji vrh is the highest peak on the ridge of Mt. Polovnik between the towns of Kobarid and Bovec. Its summit is located approximately 1,500 metres above Kobarid and offers wonderful views. You should ski along the bare slopes in the upper section and through the forest in the lower section of the tour.
Distance 13 km
Choose your starting point for the tour to Mt. Krasji vrh in accordance with snow conditions. It is very rarely possible to ski all the way to the village of Drežniške Ravne. Occasionally, it is possible to ski to the Pri koritu parking lot above this village, however, skiing usually ends on the Zaprikaj Mountain pasture. The following text describes the access from the Pri koritu parking lot above the village of Drežniške Ravne. If you start the tour on the Zaprikaj Mountain pasture, you should follow the marked trail towards Mt. Krasji vrh and join the described trail in the forest.
We recommend you to take this tour when the weather is fine and when Mt. Krasji vrh offers splendid views. The ridge can be covered with ice and without any snow. On such occasions it is better to carry your skis to the top of the mountain and to ski down the left side of the ridge.

Getting thereDrive along the paved road from the village of Drežnica to the village of Drežniške Ravne and further towards the Zaprikaj Mountain pasture. Soon after the paved road turns into a gravel road, you can notice a water trough to the right where you can park your car. If the lower section of the road is covered with snow, park your car somewhat lower down the road.
ParkingThere are a couple of parking places available next to the water trough. Occasionally, you should have a shovel with you to clear the snow from the parking space.
