difficult
Distance 11.2 km
The tour to Mt. Zeleni vrh starts in the village of Tolminske Ravne. In good snow conditions, you can start and end this tour on skis. There are several access options available: The usual route follows the steep ravine and continues along the valley between Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino and Mt. Tolminski Migovec, however, this route is circular and therefore somewhat longer than the usual one. The last section of the ascent will take you to the end of the aforementioned valley and to the mountain pass between Mt. Mali vrh and Mt. Zeleni vrh from where you only have to overcome the last ascent to the summit (in case of hard-packed snow, use crampons and the ice-axe). Another access is routed further west along the ridge, however, this trail is more demanding from the orientation point of view.
Author’s recommendation
The crossing trail beneath Mt. Tolminski Migovec can sometimes be covered with ice. In such conditions, it is easier to ascend along the trail intended for the descend (lower section of the marked trail towards Mt. Škrbina).
If the peak is covered with ice, the tour ends on the mountain pass between Mt. Mali vrh and Mt. Zeleni vrh.

Safety information
This tour is slippery and dangerous for avalanches. You should only take this tour in appropriate conditions.Tips and hints
Mt. Grušnica, which is somewhat lower and covered with trees, is much safer from avalanches. The first section of the access to Mt. Grušnica follows the trail to Mt. Zeleni vrh. Later, the trail does not turn to the crossing trail beneath Mt. Tolminski Migovec but continues straight along the mule trail to the Na Kalu Mountain pasture. Here, the trail turns left towards the west and to the top of Mt. Grušnica. You should ski down the same trail you came from.Start

Turn-by-turn directions
Start the tour in the village of Tolminske Ravne. Ascend along the mule trail towards the Na Kalu Mountain pasture. When you arrive to the crossing trail beneath Mt. Tolminski Migovec, turn right along this trail, pass the sightseeing rocky cliff called Nos and ascend to the valley between Mt. Migovec and Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino. Turn right into the valley and follow it until your reach the mountain pass between Mt. Mali vrh and Mt. Zeleni vrh. To the right, you can notice Mt. Vrh nad Škrbino. From the mountain pass, you only have to overcome a short steep ascent to the summit. You should ski from the top down the same trail you came from or along the somewhat western ridge, which is a bit more demanding from the orientation point of view. When you arrive to the spot, where the crossing trail beneath Mt. Migovec turns to the right, do not follow this trail, but continue straight ahead. The valley becomes narrower and somewhat more overgrown. There is a marked trail leading along this valley from the village of Tolminske Ravne to Mt. Škrbina. Following this valley, you arrive to the trail routed from Tolminske Ravne to the Razor Mountain pasture. Turn right and descend along the marked trail to the starting point.
