Even the ascent to the mountain station of the Breitenberg-Hochalpbahn is a real experience – the descent on the longest natural toboggan run in the Allgäu is a real treat.

We enjoy the numerous views of the mountains in the Allgäu and neighbouring Austria while tobogganing on the 6.5 km long route. We start our ascent from the Engetal, which connects Pfronten with the Tannheimer Tal. On the ascent we are on the prepared toboggan run, on which we also enjoy the long but safe descent. Our tobogganing fun starts at the mountain station of the Breitenberg-Hochalpbahn. If you would like to enjoy the view from the magnificent panoramic summit of Breitenberg at an altitude of 1838 m, you can venture up to the summit. The last few metres up to the Ostlerhütte on Breitenberg are steeper and challenge your physical condition once again. Our ascent ends at the Ostlerhütte with a wonderful panoramic terrace. From there we walk back to the mountain station of the Breiteneberg-Hochalpbahn to return to our starting point with a rapid and impressive descent over 800 metres of altitude down into the Engetal.

Outdooractive is for me the home as an outdoor enthusiast in two aspects. It is my professional home as sales manager of Outdooractive GmbH & Co KG and my private home with mountain tours, ski tours, mountain bike tours and tobogganing in the Allgäu Alps and other areas of the Alps, as well as hiking and cycling tours throughout my leisure time. Outdooractive inspires and informs me about all my activities. Most of all, I love the good outdooractive map, which gives me all the details to find the "right way" anywhere in the world - on the web during the preparation and on the spot with the app.
