Turn-by-turn directions
From the Prešeren Monument under the Church of St. Martin we follow the Rowers’ promenade – road that leads toward Zaka. Rikli's Trail branches off uphill under the castle above the Public Lido, by the information boards. We ascend zig-zagging (in serpentines) all the way to the Castle Park. On the plateau/parking area under the castle we cross the drawbridge on a steep paved castle path until we reach the castle’s entrance (entry fee). When leaving the castle we head back to the plateau/parking area and from there we continue downhill on the right on Rikli’s Trail, then turn left downhill at the junction until we arrive to the square in front of the Church of St. Martin. From here, we continue on the street (Rikli’s Trail) in the settlement of Grad, and we descend on the right at the first intersection passing by several catering establishments to the bus station. After that we turn right downhill toward the lake and we conclude our hike at the Spa Park by Rikli's weather house.
