A New, Free-of-Charge Parking Lot for the Tolmin Gorges “P2”

The parking lot “P1” in the immediate vicinity of the Tolmin Gorges gets quickly full due to an increased number of visitors. This is why we have organized a new, free-of-charge parking lot at the “Štrklepce” area, located at the edge of Tolmin, going in the direction to Zatolmin and the Tolmin Gorges.

In September, a free shuttle bus is organized from the parking lot “P2” to the Tolmin Gorges, during the weekends, between 10.00 and 16.00. When the shuttle bus is not running, the visitors can go on foot from the parking lot “P2”, following the sidewalk to the village Zatolmin and then the signs for the Tolmin Gorges – app. 15 min of walking.

The parking lot “P2” also offers parking for buses. The buses can drop off the visitors at the entrance point to the Tolmin Gorges but are no longer allowed to park there.

The caravans are also no longer allowed to park at the parking lot “P1” at the entrance point to the Tolmin Gorges, but they can park free-of-charge at the parking lot “P2” between 7.00 and 22.00.

Parking "P1" payable between 6th of July and 30th of September

From 6th July to 30th September, the parking area "P1" at the entry point to the Tolmin Gorge is payable daily between 8 am and 6 pm. The parking fee is 7 € for 3 hours of parking.

The TOLMIN GORGES are situated at the lowestand the southernmost  entry point into TriglavNational Park and are the most important natural attraction found in the Tolmin municipality. The tourist trails in the area of the gorges were created half a century ago by the Tolmin Tourist Association, while today the upkeep of the trails is the responsibility of the Turizem Dolina Soče in close cooperation with Triglav National Park.
